THE ATLANTONOMY

Since the general doctrine about Atlantis (Atlantology) is exclusively concerned with esotericism, utopia, fantasy and pofic*, it was appropriate to found Atlantonomy to research the real history of Plato's Bronze Age Atlantis.

The Atlantonomy, (Greek >Ἀτλαντονομία<, from >Ἀτλαντὶς νῆσος<, (Atlantìs nḗsos' island of Atlas) and >νόμος< (nómos, the law), is based on two solitary late works of Plato, the dialogues Critias and Timaeus, for the composition of which, according to Plato himself, Solon's >Egypt Diary< served as a model.

Over the last 40 years, my task has been to unravel the so hopelessly diswritten Atlantis issue in a completely logical and comprehensible way. There was a lot of chaff to separate from the wheat and, above all, I had to decide what was the chaff ... and what the wheat. What remained were;

1. PLATO'S SPARSE 20 PAGES:

>Plato's sparse 20 pages< refer to the passages from the two dialogues Critias and Timaeus, which together  convey the theme Atlantis.

2. THE ATLANTEANS IN THE OLD TESTAMENT:

Jeremiah in the 6th century BC in the original Hebrew text (Jer. 47, 4) on the origin of the Philistines with >i kaphtor< made his location specification (still) in the thought pattern of the then current Babylonian world view.
Likewise Amos (Amos 9, 7). There Caphtor definitely appears as a place name: >...have I not brought Israel out of the land of Egypt and the Philistines out of Caphtor<.

3. THE MERENPTAH STELA:

For >Year 5 of Merenptah< (1,208 BC), the Merenptah Stele reports on a coalition of Lebu, Turshah, Sekeles, Sardana, Lukki, Akaiwashah and Meshevesh: >...Libya has become a desert and without harvest. The Lebu come to Egypt to seek food for their bodies.<

4. EGYPT UNDER RAMSES III:

(Plate 46 1 - 5:) Year 8 under the majesty of the Horus (1.175 BC),  Mighty Bull,  (...) Rich in Strength like His Father Montu, destroying the Nine Bows, driven from their land; (...)

5. PAPYRUS HARRIS:

In Papyrus Harris Ramses III reports among other things : >I completely defeated the navy of the Sardana and Wasasa and brought them (the Atlanteans) captive to Egypt, as numerous as the sands of the sea.<

*pofic, synthetic word for >unscientific<, composed of the initial letters of presumption,   opinion, faith, ignorance and contention.

Just read my book on this; it's worth it:
